According to many locals, the best almond biscuits in La Palma are to be found in the Bar Parada ("To the stop") on the main street of Los Canarios (Fuencaliente). There, the visitors not only praise the coffee specialities, but also the fragrant fresh almond biscuits (almendradas), which can be tasted and bought in the next room. The colourful ambience of the bar is almost Caribbean.
