La Punta - La Palma

La Punta lies at an altitude of about 400 meters above sea level and above Puerto de Tazacorte with a sunny view of the sea and the surrounding banana plantations. Among the scattered houses, there are some beautiful holiday homes to rent. The tranquil place, where tourists can buy food in small shops, belongs administratively to Tijarafe and is suitable as a starting point for hikes and tours to the north of La Palma. For example, the ascent from here on the old camino real to the view point "Mirador El Time" with an impressive view to the harbor and the place Puerto de Tazacorte, to Tazacorte and the Barranco de las Angustias is wonderful. From La Punta you can reach Puerto de Tazacorte for bathing and boat trips by car - or, also on the camino real, on foot on a hike.
